It was a fantastic experience for us. We had a wonderful evening in this nice, little restaurant. The location, the Service and the food were amazing! Thank you for the beautiful evening. 🙂

    What a gem! 💎

Delicious and authentic food (which was hard to find in Rotterdam!), generous portions served with warm and professional service, local atmosphere.
We went two days in a row and will recommend it to anyone who plans to go to Rotterdam.

If it’s a bit expensive for your budget, I recommend you go for lunch and get their 3 course lunch deal at 23.50 Euros/person.

A lively restaurant filled with youths. The atmosphere is reminiscent of the 1960s. There’s an English menu and the staff are friendly. My favorite cuisine is beef stew.

What an amazing visit, I can totally recommend the duck and plum sauce, hubby endorses me sirloin steak. The staff and other patrons welcomed us and our dog with open arms. A absolutely wonderful time had by all. Highly recommended ❤️

Great local place to eat and enjoy a lovely evening in Rotterdam. The restaurant is not easy to find but it is worth it. Some local people startet a great and funny conversation. The food (steaks and different desserts) was delicious. Service was also good. When I am back in Rotterdam I will visit it again.

This is a must if you’re looking for a place to stop that has good food, history and some character. The food was great from the mussels app to the scallopini to the crepes for dessert. I’d go back tomorrow if I was staying longer.. Enjoy

What a wonderful, eclectic, vibrant restaurant. We arrived without a reservation on a busy Saturday night but the Maitre’D found us a seat. The company on our shared table were friendly and the conversation flowed. The service and the food was amazing and the Vibe was uplifting. “Locals” travel miles for this gem. A fab experience and highly recommended. Thank you.

Visiting Rotterdam, we had the chance to be there for the “jubilé” (as we say in French) of the Chef… 27 years of service ! It’s easily understandable why he has been there for so long and why the comments and reviews are so good 😊
Even with a big loss, I’m sure this amazing restaurant will continue to prosper ! Thanks to the team !

We absolutely loved this restaurant! Don’t be put off by the quirky entrance or hole-in-the-wall look. It is amazing and a hidden gem.
We found it on our own for some local fare and felt lucky to get in what seemed like an almost secret spot! The history is excellent and the food is equally so! So delicious and memorable.

One of the gems of the Netherlands. The entrecote was one of the best I’ve ever had and the ambience of the old club styled decor teleported me to happier times

Visited a few years ago (before I ever thought about filling in reviews) but eager to go back. Really cool hidden gem in Rotterdam. Great food and atmosphere is unrivalled!

This is a real traditional place where you return and even after decades, you recognize everything. A “easy going” place with a great atmosphere where you feel being a student again. Good selection of food even with some very traditional Dutch plates. Friendly service makes it complete. Fine beer. Great staff. Delicious steak.Awesome local experience. Will come back the next opportunity.

Beautiful restaurant with lots of history and amazing food with excellent beer and great service. I even forgot to take a picture 😅 my dinner was very simple: pan seared flounder with roasted Potatoes and salad. I even had trapist beer and ask them to surprise me and it was great. Totally recommend!

A Rotterdam classic, this dark Dutch ‘pijpela’: student fraternity-style 1970. Kitchen proudly old-fashioned and decently done: just enjoy this time machine.
