Came for dinner during my last night in Rotterdam. Served by a team of attentive and lovely staff. Food was great and the overall atmosphere was lovely. Thanks for making my last night in Rotterdam a memorable one. Will not hesitate to visit again next time i’m in town.

An exceptional place to enjoy numerous plates and tastes of Japanese cuisine. Wide range of dishes and wines/sake.

The most important thing about Kyatcha is that the people will exceed your expectations! I requested a comfy table with a great view to share with my girlfriend to celebrate our anniversary. For dessert, they showed up with the plate and a festive fountain, and wished us “Happy Anniversary”. You can’t miss that move!!!

We will definitely visit the restaurant again!

Great place by the harbor, with excellent food, ambient, decoration and service.
It was a nice surprise, with more than fair prices for what you get. Is not cheap, but is totally worth every cent.
Sushi and Lamb are delicious, and the attention and generosity of all the staff is something remarkable. Music was also very well selected for the dinner time.
It has a top and a bottom floor and if is too crowded, the place may get a little tight.
Walking distance from downtown and central train station, as you go through very nice street (take Witte).

The new location is beautiful. The view over the water is enchanting and of course the food is good. Price quality is also not bad. It’s still one of the best Sushi places in Rotterdam.

This is a great restaurant. They have a lot of very nice shareable dishes. The service was also excellent. I have given 4 stars for Atmosphere, as we felt it was quite cold in the restaurant.

Christmas addition. We had a Christmas dinner in the restaurant. Everything was perfect now. Also, nice temperature in the restaurant this time, excellent food, every dish perfect. Excellent service, so 5 stars for everything.

Fantastic atmosphere and really good food. Can highly recommend this restaurant in Rotterdam in Leuvehaven. The view at night (in December) was beautiful with all the lights in the harbour.

Exquisite Japanese cuisine in Rotterdam. Authentic but modern. Fine taste with heart-warming service. The menu and the cocktail menu combine perfectly. Interior is for sure the most beautiful in Rotterdam. Make sure you book a table at the window (early!) if you want the best view. (These are always fully reserved). Food quality is best, hands down. Don’t forget their dessert, it’s actually so good and unique. Although the food is quite pricey, it is definitely worth it. And if you want to have a fancy dinner or a celebration/date night, you should absolutely experience it here.

Update: went here more often and I’m still loving every moment 🙂

Tasty, well presented food and nice atmosphere. Staff were nice and helpful.
You probably need booking for weekends.
It is a bit pricey and you need to order multiple dishes as the style is small sharing portions. We ordered 4 different items from the menu and added a rice bowl as well. We were 3 couples and with drink we spent about €25 per person (we only ordered one drink each).
If you like Japanese style food, I recommend this place.

I walked down the promenade in Rotterdam and saw this prime sushi restaurant and just walked in. Fully booked but they offered me 2 seats at the bar. Immediately I got impressed by the barkeeper. We ordered food but were served only artwork – the best and freshest Japanese Fusion I ever had in my life!
All dishes were just Fantastic. Unachieved level of food. Respect and see you again.

This is certainly the place to go for fine dining and experimental gourmet flavours. Because of that, you can expect small portions for the price. However, you can also expect the quality to be absolutely fantastic. We tasted flavours we never tasted before; and everything was well cooked, with perfect textures, colours, and presentation. You also receive excellent service, and the restaurant’s interior provides a beautiful atmosphere for dining and chatting. If you want to treat yourself and whoever you go with, this is the place to go!

Yesterday we celebrated my partner’s birthday at Kyatcha in Rotterdam.
Everything was perfect. The atmosphere is lovely, with nice music in the background, comfortable seats, and wonderful staff.
The food was very good, prepared with care and presented with love.
It is really a very good restaurant where you get a bang for your buck, highly recommended.

My recent visit to Kyatcha Rotterdam was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we stepped in, the ambience enveloped us in a warm, inviting atmosphere that was both chic and comfortable. The decor, lighting, and overall vibe were spectacular, setting the perfect stage for a memorable dining experience.

One of the most impressive aspects of our evening was the timing of the service. Each dish arrived promptly, allowing us to savor each course without feeling rushed. The seamless coordination and attention to detail truly highlighted the restaurant’s commitment to excellence.

The cocktails at Kyatcha are a highlight in themselves, particularly the lychee cocktail, which was an absolute delight. It was refreshingly balanced, making it the perfect start to our meal. Additionally, the variety of Japanese whisky available is superb, catering to both connoisseurs and those looking to explore new flavors.

A standout feature of our dining experience was the exceptional service provided by the personnel, especially the owner. Their suggestions were spot-on and led us to discover some of the most delicious items on the menu. The owner’s recommendations were particularly noteworthy, guiding us through a culinary journey that was perfectly paired with the sake madiraje. Each sake pairing was thoughtfully chosen to enhance the flavors of the dishes, creating a harmonious dining experience.

Although we initially decided to skip dessert, the owner’s recommendation of the cheesecake with passion fruit whipped cream, paired with a dessert sake, was irresistible. It turned out to be a delightful conclusion to our meal, with the passion fruit adding a vibrant twist to the rich cheesecake.

The hospitality at Kyatcha made us feel like royalty. The attentive and personalized service ensured that every moment was special. Without a doubt, we will be returning to Kyatcha Rotterdam to relive this exceptional dining experience.

As a sushilover I had to try out this new sushispot in town and it was soooo good! The combinations of flavours were very unique, the dishes looked as great as they taste, the restaurant itself is very beautiful with a nice view of the Maas and Erasmusbrug and also the staff is really friendly with a great knowledge of what they serve and which kind of drinks complements the food. Also, don’t forget to try out their cocktails! The whole experience was refreshing and inspiring 😊

On the walk from event to hotel, I stopped to Kyatcha Rotterdam Japanese restaurant. Excellent bar side dinner for one. Nice selection of sashimi with fresh wasabi. Melting in mouth. A5 Waguy ribeye as main course – nicely smoky. Excellent (drinks) recommendation and service by bar tenders. Well done at kitchen and service. Top Japanese food experience in Europe. Par with Izakaya in Helsinki.

Went there to a celebratory dinner with my partner, and these are my thoughts on the whole experience:

    Wine card
Fairly interesting wine card with a great variety, lacking in the red wine part due to the lack of meaty dishes, despite having a “from the grill section”

    Cocktail menu
A lot of big risks taken with interesting cocktails, a wide variety of gin, japanese sake, and other destillates such a japanese vodkas, and cognacs

    Dishes:
Gyu Roll: Beef sushi with a side japanese mayonaise on the side, great presentation and taste
Passionfruit oysters: Amazing contraste with the sweet&sour taste of the passionfruit with the strong taste of oysters, served on crushed ice with a small bouquet of flowers and thinly sliced scallions
    Garlic honey soy karaage:
Tender and juicy, great flavor, a bit lacking in presentation but the honey-soy combination makes up for it.
    Sake teriyaki:
A good attempt at balancing the flavors of salmon and teriyaki sauce, the broccolini was greatly grilled, the small greens on the bottom were equally delicious
Namurakke: Incredible, the lamb was perfectly cooked, beautifully plated with broccolini, tomato, and some crispy chips on the it. It was genuinely incredible.
    Moriawase sashimi :
The best sashimi I’ve had in my live, with an amazing presentation, using a mix of shisho, dill, crushed ice, it was beautifully presented at an extremely reasonable price for a sashimi, the fresh wasabi on a cucumber was an incredible addition.
Spicy sour Ebi roll: Another sushi roll, similarly presented to the Gyu roll, ended up ordering it twice due to how much we enjoyed it. The flavor combinations were on point

    Deserts:
Their desert card, despite recent, is wonderful, the chefs have great creativity and and all of them look so beautiful. Incredibly tasty, sad we didn’t try the desert cocktails.

    Drinks:
The drinks were fantastic, the bartender, Rick, did an amazing job at telling the story of certain japanese spirits for everything that we ordered. The Lavander Blossom was interesting, and the Gin & Tonics that we got were splendid, really creative and fun.

Service: The service was splendid, all the staff saw to that we were comfortable, had a fun history lesson from our bartender, and everyone was generally kind. Cannot emphasize how great Rick was to us, definetely a great mixologist and bartender.

Design: The interior of the restaurant was beautifully, from the decoration, the music, to the mise en place for every table. Everything was stunning. Located near the Erasmusbridge, this restaurant has everything to be appealing.

Overall, Kyatcha is an amazing place with a kind and really dedicated staff (shoutout specially to Rick and the waitresses who took care of me and my partner). Amazing food and drinks, will definetely return

It’s really 5+++ star!!! The most perfect and delicious Japanese dinner in Rotterdam, if not in the entire country, combined with the nicest staff, young, cheerful and enthusiastic! To top it all, the view is absolutely spectacular. Highly recommended!!!
