Best and most authentic Egyptian food I have found in Europe so far! The koshari is absolutely delicious, and the owners are very welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. We will definitely come back here and I can fullheartedly recommend trying this place for a great meal 😋
Great original Egyptian food and lovely owners.
After the food the owners told us a lot of interesting things about the Egyptian cuisine and brought some mahshi for us to taste.
The molokhyia tastes like the one my Egyptian grandmother made for me a long time ago.
I can recommend this place for everyone who wants to have delicious Egyptian food.
I’m Egyptian and the food here is honestly very authentic. Very hard to find authentic Egyptian food in Europe. It’s normally just Shaorma or kofta or other generic Arabic/middle Eastern food. But this place was like being back at my mum’s place in Alexandria. I had mahshi and some of my fiancé’s kosheri and it was awesome 👌
Also, if you ever wanted to try the true falafel, not the one made from chickpeas that you can find all over Europe, come to this place (or go to Egypt, the birthplace of falafel) where falafel is made from beans (foul in Egyptian, hence the name falafel which comes foul). The chickpeas falafel is a modern Syrian/Palestinian/Lebanese invention that somehow spread in Europe.

I had a great experience in Habibj restaurant. They have great tasty Egyptian food, the atmosphere and the owners are very polite and welcoming. I am so happy to eat there and to revisit my memories in Egypt with the decoration that make you feel home.
We absolutely loved this place. Authentic egyptian cousine, the food was incredibly good, really deliciuos! I’ve always struggled to find egyptian food in Europe, so this is a true blessing! The owners are great people, really kind and warm, they welcomed us and explained everything we needed to know. Amazing!
Of all the meals I have had in my multiple trips to The Netherlands, this was easily my favourite. I get pretty good Egyptian food in Sydney and I have been to Egypt as well but the meal in Habibi was better than what I have had in both. I actually found out about Habibi from a group of Egyptian students I met on the train on the way to Amsterdam. What they told me was that the food here was as good as home and I can clearly see why. I can’t recommend this place enough. If I find myself in the Netherlands again, I’ll make the trip to Rotterdam just to have dinner at Habibi again.
In addition, the wonderful owners were kind and gracious and agreed to seat us even though we were quite late and the restaurant had just closed, when we mentioned that we’d come from far away and were hungry.
Very authentic Egyptian food! My friends and I went for the first day of Ramadan, and we absolutely loved it. It really made us feel like we were back home in Egypt. The owners are also very sweet and hospitable! Would totally recommend!
I had the best experience eating authentic Egyptian food while being away from home.
Everything was perfect starting from the decorations that tells about real Egyptian traditions, the background nostalgic Egyptian music, hospitality by the restaurant owners and finally the tasty food.
I had my favorite dish Koshary, which was really tasty authentic.
I will come back to the restaurant to try other dishes and enjoy the vibes.

The best “home made” food restaurant I have ever had in the Netherlands, definitely authentic Egyptiam food. The restaurant has a familiar atmosphere to it, the owners are a Egyptian family that make everything from scratch. I would definitely recommend getting the Bamya, moulokheya, Kebda and Kebab. The sweets are amazing as well. Definitely recommend it to anyone who wants an oriental taste.
Egyptian food in Rotterdam, the service is great and the effort they made for food in short time was really good.
The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and owned by friendly staff, the food was amazing and had a wonderful oriental taste, Hawawshi(meat bread) was delicious and of course the Molokhia was top quality. Don’t forget to:

2-Understand that home-made food takes time to start with soup or drinks

Great &delecious Egyptian taste food, nice atmosphere. you will feel like at your home, warm and generous hospitality from Mr. Murad and his nice wife’s.
Very authentic Egyptian food. Its the only authentic Egyptian restaurant within the Netherlands. This is a family restaurant run by the husband and wife, they are very friendly and can cook delicious food. Its a small place so best to reserve before. Recommended are the authentic home made falafels and the filled artichoke.
